Aprill

Carrie, LPC

mental health clinician

I received my Bachelor’s in Family Community Services at Michigan State University, and my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Central Michigan University. I began offering clinical counseling services in 2010. I have post-graduate training along with clinical experience in trauma-informed treatment including HeartMath and Polyvagal Theory, Somatic, Movement, Sound and Touch Trauma interventions, assessment and treatment of substance use disorders and addictions, PTSD, depression, grief, anxiety, anger management, existential suffering, identity/stage of development crises, crisis counseling, suicide prevention, and domestic violence.
Not all suffering is necessary. It is my hope to help alleviate the unnecessary suffering and to soften any other mental health suffering through fostering a confidential, safe, and effective counseling environment. During your therapeutic journey with me, we will identify the therapeutic interventions that will best address your unique situation. My services are confidential, holistic, person-centered, and solution-focused. They may integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, Eastern Philosophies, Humanistic, Existential, Gestalt, Polyvagal Theory, HeartMath and other evidenced based interventions depending upon your needs. By incorporating feedback informed therapy (FIT) before and after sessions, you will provide timely and informative feedback to make sure the services you are receiving are a good fit for your needs.
